Welcome to genx.rocks (the "Site"), operated by YNG Ads, Tel Aviv, Israel ("we," "us"). By accessing or using the Site, or signing up as a member, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What this Site is

genx.rocks publishes commentary, criticism, reviews, guides, and cultural writing about rock music and the culture around it, focused on the years roughly 1975 to 1995. Content is provided for information and entertainment. It reflects opinions and recollections and is not professional advice of any kind, including purchasing, valuation, or restoration advice for records, equipment, or collectables.

2. AI-assisted content disclosure

Articles on this Site are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and are reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. We work to verify factual claims such as release dates, catalog numbers, and chart positions, but errors can slip through. If you spot one, we want to hear about it: info@genx.rocks. Opinions expressed remain the editorial voice of the Site.

3. Our content and your use of it

All original text, design, and original imagery on the Site are © 2026 to present YNG Ads, all rights reserved, unless marked otherwise.

You may quote brief excerpts of our articles (up to 75 words) with attribution and a link to the original post. You may not republish full articles, scrape the Site for dataset or AI-training purposes, or use our content commercially without written permission: info@genx.rocks.

4. Third-party trademarks, band names, and album titles

Band names, artist names, album and song titles, record label names, and product or brand names (for example, names of audio equipment makers) on this Site are trademarks or property of their respective owners. They are used for identification, commentary, criticism, and review purposes only.

genx.rocks is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any artist, band, estate, record label, or manufacturer mentioned on the Site, and no such affiliation or endorsement should be implied. We do not sell merchandise bearing any third party's name or likeness.

5. Photography and image licensing

Photographs on this Site that we did not create come from openly licensed collections (primarily through Openverse) under Creative Commons licenses (CC0, Public Domain Mark, CC BY, or CC BY-SA) that permit our use. Each such image carries a credit line in its caption naming the creator and the license.

We make good-faith efforts to use only properly licensed images and to credit them correctly. If you are a rights holder and believe an image is miscredited, misattributed, or used outside its license, write to info@genx.rocks and we will correct or remove it promptly. Formal copyright complaints can also use the procedure in Section 6.

Where an image is licensed CC BY-SA, that image stays under that license; this does not change the license of our surrounding text.

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to copyright complaints in the spirit of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable Israeli law, wherever you are located.

If you believe content on this Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated contact, info@genx.rocks, that includes:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  2. The URL or URLs on genx.rocks where the allegedly infringing material appears;
  3. Your name, mailing address, email, and (optionally) phone number;
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

On receiving a valid notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the material and notify the party who posted it, where applicable. If you believe material you posted was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice with equivalent identifying information and a statement of good-faith belief that the removal was mistaken; we may restore the material unless the complainant tells us they have sought a court order. We may end the accounts of repeat infringers.

7. Member accounts and conduct

You must be at least 16 to become a member. If you create a member account, or if we later turn on comments or other ways to submit content:

  • You keep ownership of what you write, but you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and moderate it on the Site.
  • You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing (including pasted song lyrics, which we will remove), spam, or off-topic self-promotion.
  • We may edit for formatting, remove content, and suspend accounts at our discretion. We are not responsible for user-submitted content.

8. Newsletter and accounts

Signing up requires a valid email address and is governed by our Privacy Policy. If we send a newsletter, every issue includes an unsubscribe link. We may discontinue or change the newsletter or membership features at any time.

Posts may contain affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. When we use one, we say so near the link. Affiliate relationships never decide our editorial opinions.

The Site links to third-party sites such as marketplaces, archives, streaming services, and forums. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

11. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Retro-culture facts such as pressing details, valuations, dates, and technical specifications may contain errors; verify independently before making purchase or repair decisions. Vintage electronics can be dangerous, and you follow any repair or restoration information at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, its content, or linked third-party sites or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Site in the preceding 12 months (for a free site, zero) or the minimum amount the law permits.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the current version, and material changes will be noted on the Site. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel, unless mandatory consumer-protection law where you live provides otherwise.
